One Identity, Many Side Quests
Things worth making don't always fit neatly into one category.
We make things. Stickers. Websites. Custom projects. And whatever seems worth doing next.
What SQO Is
Side Quest Operations is for people who follow curiosity, take detours, start projects, collect interests, and don't feel obligated to make every interest fit into one neat category.
Most of the useful things get made on the way to something else. A trip taken because the road looked interesting. A skill picked up because a project needed it. A design drawn at midnight for no reason anyone would sign off on. Those are side quests, and they're where the good stuff starts.
One Identity, Many Side Quests
The problem with having a lot of interests is that everyone wants you to pick one. Pick a lane. Choose a niche. Decide what you are.
SQO is the answer to that: a single identity built to hold unrelated things. A sticker, a website, a print run, and an odd one-off project can all look different and still obviously belong together. What holds them together isn't the category — it's the standard, the voice, and the fact that the same person made them.
Why "Operations"
Because the work is real even when the reason for it isn't.
"Operations" is the deadpan part. It takes something spontaneous — an idea that showed up uninvited on a Tuesday — and gives it a proof, a schedule, a spec, and a finish. The humor is that a detour got a project plan. The point is that it actually got made.
Necessary? Debatable. Worth it? Always.
How This Works in Practice
Everything here is made to a real standard. Stickers are proofed before they run. Websites are built to be fast, readable, and maintainable by the person who owns them. Custom projects get scoped honestly, including the parts that aren't a good idea.
Nothing is exaggerated to sound bigger than it is. If something is outside what SQO does well, you'll hear that instead of a quote.
We follow curiosity. We document the detour. We call it operations.
